Daniel James "Danny" Nelson is a recurring character on Glee: The New Touch and a sophomore attending Woodsville High School. He was created by TheWordyBirdy and is portrayed by Drew Roy.
Danny has always been living in his older brother's shadow. His parents liked Ricky more, his classmates liked Ricky more, Ricky was better at sports, Ricky was smarter, Ricky was just way more well-rounded than he was. However, this didn't stop Danny from doing what he loved, playing football. Ever since he was old enough, he'd play football, no matter if it was with his dad, brother, or local football team, he did it and loved it. Recently though, Danny discovered that he was gay. This absolutely horrified him. He feels that if he's gay, he can't play sports, but he doesn't want that at all. Danny's conflicted and doesn't know what to do next, he's even too scared to go to his brother, who's his best friend for advice.
Danny is like a quieter version of his older brother, he's sweet, confident, and athletic. However, after discovering his homosexuality, he's been confused with how his future will pan out. He wants to play football, but doesn't think he can now than he's gay, and football's the only thing that makes his world go round, he loves it. But how can he learn to love himself when he doesn't accept himself.
Danny looks like his brother a lot. He has pale skin, black hair, and blue eyes much like his brother. However, he's much shorter standing at only 5'8". Danny has a lean yet athletic build.
